Magnus Consulting Group Pvt Ltd is a Nepal-based company offering a range of expertise for social transformation through the use of information and communication technology.
Nationally, we focus on providing solutions that transform lives of the rural and underdeveloped sectors. We also provide consulting services to various government agencies, corporate houses, and non-governmental organizations for their ICT strategy and implementation.
Background
Magnus Consulting Group Pvt Ltd was formed in 2004 as a result of the realization that there was a need of an organization in Nepal that genuinely engages itself to achieve the following:
1. To provide affordable, quality solutions to better the lives of people in under-developed countries
through the use of Information and Communication Technology.
2. To develop local capacity in ICT
3. To provide ICT related policy advice
4. To inject low cost high value solutions in market
5. To create international business opportunity in the ICT sector in Nepal
6. To Enable ICT access for all
Thus Magnus' projects are conducted in various sectors in Nepal in order to empower the communities and individuals. Magnus hopes that through these projects, individuals and communities can participate more fully in their societies, have access to better information, thus make strategically important decisions for sustainable economic growth and overall betterment.
Management
The senior management team at Magnus is comprised of four founders:
E.E. Tikajit Rai, has BSEE from University of Oklahoma, Norman, USA and six years of US-based professional project management and team leading experience in communication technology (wireless & software development).
Soham Dhakal, has over 9 years of experience in the software industry, of which 8 were in the US. Prior to Magnus, he worked as a Sr. Project Leader/Architect at Cerner Corporation. He has a B. Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, Oklahoma, USA and M.A. in Computer Information and Resource Management from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
Bishnu Gautam, has a bachelor's degree in commerce and IT certification from Australia.
Ganga Ram Manandhar, has an MBA from Tribhuwan University (T.U.), Kathmandu, Nepal, and has eleven years of experience in ICT. He is also teaching Technology Management course for MBA students at Lord Buddha Educational Foundation, Kathmandu,Nepal.
